PAST CONTINUOUS

TENSES EXAMPLE MEANING ( SITUASI PENGGUNAAN)

1. Positive Sentence (He, She, It) + was + v-ing (They, We, I, You) + were + v-ing. 2. Negative Sentence ( He, She,it ) + was + not + v-ing. (They, We, I, You) + awere + v-ing. 3. Yes / No Question Was +(He, She, It) + V-ing Were +(They, We, I, You) + V-ing

Ana was watching the television when the phone rang. Ana was not watching the television when the phone rang. Was Ana watching the television when the phone rang.

Untuk menyampaikan sesuatu dimana seseorang tengah berada pada aktifitas yang dilakukan pada waktu tertentu. Kegiatan atau situasinya telah dimulai sebelum waktu pembicaran dan belum selesai.
