2002-2003 Renewal FAFSA Schedule

Event Date
The CPS builds the Renewal Application database 10/1/01 – 10/5/01

• Students who become eligible to file a Renewal FAFSA after 10/1/01


will not be included in the PIN Request process or the paper Renewal
FAFSA process; however, these students with PINs will be able to
reapply for financial aid using Renewal Application on the Web after
2002-2003 CPS startup on January 1, 2002

Schools may begin submitting PIN Mailer requests 10/1/01

• Please note you can begin submitting 2002-2003 PIN mailer requests on
this date, but the CPS will not begin processing requests daily until
October 8, 2001

The CPS processes PIN Mailer requests daily 10/8/01 – 10/26/01

• Your PIN Mailer request file must be transmitted and completely


received by CPS no later than 5:00 p.m. CT, October 26, 2001

The CPS transmits RAPP PIN/Print Notification file to all destination points 11/1/01 – 11/9/01
(message class: RADD03OP)

• Every school (associated with a destination point) will receive this file,
which contains all of their eligible Renewal FAFSA students.

The CPS prints and mails paper Renewal FAFSAs directly to students 11/1/01 - 12/21/01

The CPS prints and mails PIN mailers directly to students 11/1/01 – 12/21/01

• Included are the PIN mailers requested by schools during the PIN mailer
request period and the PIN mailers automatically sent to students
because they filed via the Web or because they are graduate students
