State: Perlis Tandem 1 : Kuala Perlis Population Potential Subscribers Local Exchange Total Trunks 1700629 50% from 1700629= 850 314 Kaki Bukit, Kuah, Kangar 72

Justification : assuming that 180 calls in average 5 minutes. Erlangs = (180x5)/60 = 15. Using Earlang B calculator, it is calculated 24 trunks. Hence it is advisable to have 24 trunks for Kangar, Kaki Bukit, and Kuah. The total trunks will be 72.

State : Kedah Tandem 1 : Changlun

Population Potential Subscribers Local Exchange Total Trunks

705165 50% from 705165 is 352 580 Gunung Keriang, Kuala Nerang 48

Justification: Assuming that 180 calls in average 5 minutes since its not industrial area . Erlangs = (180x5)/60 = 15. Using Earlang B calculator we have 24 trunks each exchange, we do not want much trunks since to avoid wastage.

Tandem 2 : Pokok Sena Population Potential Subscribers Local Exchange Total Trunks 122411 50% from 122411 is 61 206 Pendang, Tasik Muda 52 trunks
