Reflection of BOTH lesson and collaboration: Collaboration for this lesson was a smooth process. Mrs. Miles and I are both third grade teachers. This made it easy for us to plan together. She has a class of 22 students. We began by discussing what information she would like be covered in the presentations. We also discussed when to schedule the activities. I was able to work with Mrs. Miles class while my kids were at P.E. The time allotted for the lesson was 45 minutes. The lesson took two days to complete. The lesson was a great success. The students were very excited about working in groups to create the PowerPoint presentation. They enjoyed searching through the websites provided on the Georgia Regions Wiki. The students seemed to gain a better understanding of the content. We did feel a bit rushed at times. In the future, allotting more time for the lesson to be completed will be a great benefit.
