My observation on evaluation is that the teacher uses static test because the teacher aims to measure what pupils has learned. Her primary purpose on giving a test is to evaluate the pupils whether the pupils are learning or not. But I notice limitations, and one of the limitations is that the pupils are just memorizing and not comprehending. I recommend that sometimes she must teach her pupils how to comprehend what theyve read. (Mrs. Jeanny Ibon, Grade IV Hope) My observation on the objectives of the lesson is that, the main objective of the lesson is to let the pupils know what animals are hatch eggs and what are not. And the pupils are able to distinguish on which animals are watch egg. The teacher also uses human as an example of a non hatch egg animal. The teachers are successful and able to accomplish her objectives. I recommend that in order for the pupils catch up faster is that the teacher must use still picture in identifying on which is really hatch egg and which is not. (Mrs. Jeanny Ibon, Grade IV Faith) My observation on the content of the lesson is that the teacher is very focus on presenting her lesson, she forgot to apply some values on her lesson. Because her subject is math so ask her to pupils to count the denomination of the money. And it is much related to her subject. One aspect were developed during discussion, the mental aspect. The pupils are able to count and able to understand. I think the best feature that the teacher have is she uses real money as an example to her lesson, she starts from specific to general. I recommend that the teacher must ask or give some values to her pupils. (Mrs. Lolita Zabate, Grade II Hope) My observation on the lesson planning is that the teacher uses the art of questioning in order to motivate her pupils, she also uses real life examples which the can easily relate with. The primary objective of the lesson is to know the pupils on which animals is hatch egg and which is not. After her discussion, she evaluate her pupils whether theyve understand something. And as what as I observed, the really follow her lesson plan. I recommend that the teacher must also used still picture because almost all of the pupils are visual learners, and they easily understand when there is picture. (Mrs. Jeanny Ibon, Grade IV Hope) My observation on teaching procedure is that the teacher really tries to teach her pupils but unfortunately as what Ive observed the pupils are not ready yet, some of the pupils are not listening to her. There came the time that the teacher uses corporal punishment to those hard-headed pupils. The only failure of the teacher is she doesnt consider the law of readiness and the law of effect. She only focuses on the law of exercise, maybe thats the reason why some of her pupils are not listening to her. Though the pupils are participating in democratic way but there is an instance that the teacher cannot consider the differences of her pupils. But overall, the teacher is still effective. (Mrs. Rhoda De Jesus, Grade I Joy)
My observation on the drill and review lesson is that the teacher gives higher points to those who get the correct answer. She only gives the drill after the lesson and sometimes it will become homework. The teacher uses the art of questioning in evaluating the outcome of the lesson, with this technique, there is an active interactions between pupils and teacher. The best feature that I observed is that the pupils were possessing a complete freedom in answering the question. I recommend that the teacher also use still picture and other visual materials in teaching the class in order for the pupils to learn more. (Mrs. Vilma Oyao, Grade III Faith) My observation on the instructional tools is that the teacher uses neat and clean visual aids, she also uses the law of readiness. She really wants her pupils to read fluently. But at this level, the pupils are no ready to learn, some of them are playing and some of them are quarrelling. I recommend that the teacher should use a more colorful and more realistic visual aids.
