What Were Learning


Reading: We will work on identifying and using the features in non-fiction text (ex: glossary, index, table of contents). Encourage your child to read some non-fiction texts at home!

Spelling Words: said, who, my, its, now, took, stack, lock, brake, shook *Our Words Their Way focus is on the ending /k/ sound. Writing: We will begin working on explanatory writing. Math: We will continue to work with addition, subtraction, and place value (these are ongoing this year). We will also focus on standard measurement this week. Social Studies: We will learn about Tomochichi. Ask your child to share what they learn about him at home.
