Our Week in Review:

We shared 2 stories during journals again this week! We have really been focusing on picking out the important details of the story and discussing good story structure. In theme this week, we worked hard at our jobs for building our control tower. Students were able to sign up for a job for the building process. The day after doing their jobs, the students got to teach the rest of the class during theme about what they learned and accomplished the day before. In centers, the students worked really hard on their specific jobs in building our control tower. In shared reading, we discussed vowels. We learned fun songs to help us remember the sounds of the vowels. We also read pumpkin books.

Homework Time!
In folders this week, you will find a fun math game! 25 Chips is a great little game for teaching 1-to-1 correspondence and for counting. The dice are your childs to keep. Please help them find a safe place for their dice so they can use them with many math games.
