Pipeline Identity Leaflet

This document provides guidelines for pipe identification as recommended by British Standard 1710:1984. It outlines a coding system using basic identification colors and additional/safety colors to properly identify the contents of pipes. Pipes should be banded with the appropriate colors based on what is being carried, such as water, steam, gases, chemicals, etc. Valves and other features should also be color coded for easy recognition. The accurate use of colors allows for safe operation and maintenance of piping systems.
