P156 Quantum Computing

Quantum computing uses the principles of quantum mechanics to perform operations on quantum bits (qubits) and can potentially solve certain computational problems, such as factoring integers, much more quickly than classical computers. The paper discusses an overview of quantum computing and the technologies that could make it a reality, noting that quantum computers are expected to be millions of times faster than today's computers by using light as the active computing element and harnessing the power of quantum physics for information processing, though the theory has existed for decades.

G.V.D KUMAR & G.D NAIDU

S.R.K.R COLLEGE OF ENGG.,
BHEEMAVARAM.

This paper discusses an overview of the Quantum Computing, and what technologies will make
Quantum Computing a reality?
Quantum Computing is one of the hopes for future trends in computing.
These Computers are going to be the solution to make computer faster and more efficient.
These computers run 1,000,000,000 times faster than the present day computers.
Quantum Computer uses light as active computing element.
Quantum Computing uses simple laws of quantum physics as a foundation for a radically new
approach for information processing.
The theory of quantum computing was proposed several decades ago. But there are no
considerable outcomes of this Theory until recently. For the last few years many developments
over this field were being observed.
