(=The car was working well when he sold it) C. Rewrite the sentences using past simple and past perfect simple. Use the words in brackets. Revise all your answers again

The action of putting on make up is the first one (should be in the past perfect). The second acton is going to work (should be in the past simple) She had gonewent to work after she had put on her make-up. 13. He noticed the smoke in the house. Then, he called the fire brigade. (before) He noticed the smoke in the house before he had called the fire brigade. 14. I finished setting the table. Then, the guests knocked the door. (just / when) .
