Autoconfig Patching

To patch an Oracle Applications instance, an administrator must first put the instance into maintenance mode using the adadmin utility after setting the correct environment. They then run the autoconfig script located in the admin/scripts folder for the instance after setting the Oracle SID to patch the instance with adpatch.

To Run Aato Patch.

Adadmin First u hav eto use adadmin utility to enter in maintenance mode u have to set the environment for that specific instance before running the adadmin utility. Run the APPSORA.env file from the $APPL_TOP. In case of TEST server goto E:\Oracle\TESTAPPL At command prompt then type APPSORA.cmd and then type set Oracle_sid=TEST then press enter and after that try to run the adadmin utility.

adpatch Open Command window, then goto E:\oracle\testappl. Set environment by running

Where to go for Autoconfig


To run auto config open command window and go to E:\oracle\testcomn\admin\scripts\TEST_testdb. Then issue adautocfg.cmd APPSTEST_testdb.cmd. set Oracle_sid by set oracle_sid=TEST. And then run adpatch utility.
