Radiographic Requirements On Api 650tanks

This document outlines radiographic requirements for welds on API 650 tanks. It specifies that shell butt welds and welds at base plates require full radiography. Welds at shell openings like manholes require spot radiography of the butt-welded periphery. Annular plate joints with double butt welds require spot radiography at 10% of radial joints if the plate thickness is between 3/8 and 1 inch. Nozzle necks with single side welds require 100% radiography of the butt weld. Shell connections with flush mounted nozzle necks require 100% radiography for a length 3 times the diameter of the opening, excluding the cut out length.
