This document provides instructions for modeling and simulating a DC motor system in Simulink. It involves deriving the block diagram and transfer function, setting up a Simulink model to simulate speed and current responses to a step change in applied voltage, and using Control Systems Toolbox features like bode, nyquist, and root locus plots to analyze the system.

Modeling 1. Derive the block diagram for this DC motor(DCM) system. 2. Determine Ti/v by block diagram reduction. 3.

Set up a Simulink model of the system in which the speed and the current are available as outputs. Simulate the behaviour of the machine if there is a step change in applied voltage to 200V. Observe both the current and speed responses and comment on your results. Check that your Simulink DCM and Ti/v have the same 1V step response
4. Show how to investigate the use of Matlab Control Systems Toolbox features for the system analysis: bode, nyquist, rlocus, ingrid.
