Project Name:: Train Collision Avoidance

This document describes a train collision avoidance project that uses RF communication between a master node and two slave nodes on trains. The master node would receive sensor data from the slave nodes on the trains detecting train positions and control the rails accordingly to prevent collisions. The project uses an AVR microcontroller, runs on 5V and 3.3V power supplies, and communicates wirelessly between nodes using RF signals. The goal is to apply this to train systems for collision avoidance.

PROJECT NUMBER: 2RF_14_TRAIN_COLLOSION

PROJECT NAME: Train Collision Avoidance.

BLOCK DIAGRAM:

RF COMMUNICATION:
RF is the wireless transmission of data by digital radio signals at a particular frequency. RF communication works by creating electromagnetic waves at a source and being able to send the electromagnetic waves at a particular destination. These electromagnetic waves travel through the air at near the speed of light. The advantages of a RF communication is it is wireless, you don't have to lay cable all over your facility. Cable is expensive, less flexible than RF coverage and is prone to damage. It provides extensive hardware support for packet handling, data buffering, burst transmissions, clear channel assessment, and link quality.

PROJECT DISCRIPTION:
In this project there would be one master and two slave. The slave part would be on the train system. The train would be detected using the IR sensor module. Whenever the sensor senses the train the dat would be send to the master node and like wise the rails would be control. For proto type the motor would be used to represent the reail
