General Practitioner=Family Doctor A general practitioner is trained in general medicine and treats patients in a local community rather than a hospital

Paediatrician
This is the doctor who treats childrens diseases

The cardiologist
Diagnoses and treats heart diseases

Geriatrician
This doctor treats old peoples diseases

The orthopaedist
This doctor corrects deformities of the body

The dentist
This doctor looks after your teeth, removes or fills them when necessary

The oculist
This doctor specializes in the diseases of the eyes

The dermatologist
this doctor specializes in the diseases of the skin

The surgeon
This doctor performs operations

The gynaecologist
This doctor treats womens diseases

The obstetrician
This doctor brings children into the world

The radiologist
His speciality is taking and interpreting X rays

To operate on an eye cataract you go to the: -surgeon -dermatologist -oculist To deliver a baby a pregnant woman goes to the: -paediatrician -obstetrician -gynaecologist
