While newer models have improved circuitry and resolution, the API 560 maintains its reputation as a reliable, durable, and intelligently designed equalizer that pairs well with parametric EQs. At around $800, it provides great value for engineers.

II API 560

Ryan Bodine

Category: Analogue EQ The API 560 was originally used in API consoles in the 60s and 70s. Because of how easy it was to use and how fast you could set it. They are still producing API 560s, and the newer models have improved resolution in the +- 4 dB area and have upgraded circuitry, and a built in amp. It is a reliable, durable, well make EQ that pairs nicely with a parametric EQ. Its intelligently designed and thats the reason its been around for so long and is even still in production. For about 800$ this EQ is well within the price range of Engineers everywhere.
