This week, we celebrated a fun week of Valentine art and festivities in PK! It even rained hearts in our classroom! We really enjoyed decorating our mailboxes and filling them with Valentines for our friends. One of our favorite activities ever was Messy Red Day! The children loved finger painting with a combination of red paint and shaving cream! They even got to blow red bubbles. Thank you for helping with the party todayIt was super fun and sweet. We will see you back at school on Tuesday. After the Winter Break, we will continue our study of Tennessee by learning about the state insects, butterfly, capitol, reptile, and horse. Tennessee Trivia
Tennessee touches 8 states. Fireflies actually live underground. The mockingbird has been known to mock the bark of a dog! The Great Smoky Mountains is the most visited National Park in the U. S. A. Tennessee has approximately 3800 caves. Graceland is the 2nd most popular visited house in our country. Reelfoot Lake was formed by an earthquake.

Newsletter challenge: Have your child draw a heart in


his/her folderWe have practiced! You can draw half of the heart and let him/her draw the other half. We say, up, curve, then down, when drawing a heart. This is difficult, so dont stress!!!!
