Feedback Questionnaire

Tamera Lall created a music magazine for a school project and surveyed their target audience of 16-18 year olds to get feedback. Based on the responses, the magazine was well-received. For the front cover, respondents liked the color scheme and main image but suggested including more cover lines. They felt the main image was subtly sexy and powerful. For the contents page, no improvements were needed as it was appealing with unusual images, interesting topics and color scheme. Regarding the double-page spread, respondents mostly liked the font and layout but said to use blank spaces and possibly improve images. Overall, respondents felt the magazine looked professional and consistent throughout.

Feedback Questionnaire Hi, Im an A-Level Media Studies student. I have created a music magazine with a front cover, contents page and double-page spread and have created this questionnaire to get your feedback on the magazine. Please answer these by circling the answer that applies to you. 1. How old are you? All (100%) of the people that I asked were between 16-18, this tells me that they were within and fitted into my target audience, so I knew I was asking the right people. 2. What gender are you? In order to get a fair range of feedback, 50% of the people were male and the other 50% were female. 3. What genre do you think this music magazine is? All (100%) of the participants said that they thought that Revelation was from a Hip Hop/R&B genre. This tells me my magazine fits and suits the genre it was aimed to. 4. Would you consider buying this magazine? All (100%) the answers to this question was yes. This tells me my magazine is appealing to its audience and would sell well if it was on the market for sale. FRONT COVER 5. What do you like about the front cover? The majority (50%) of the audience said they liked the colour scheme on the front cover. 30% said they liked the main image and 20% said they liked the font. This tells me that these features on my cover were very effective and eye-catching. 6. What dont you like about the front cover? Any improvements? 60% of people asked said that they thought that there should be more coverlines included on the front cover. 30% said that they didnt think that there was anything to change and 10% said that there should be something more appealing on the front like a free offer. This is useful information as I now know how I could improve my cover if I was to do it again. 7. What are your opinions of the main image on the front cover? Any improvements? Overall, the target audience liked the front cover as they thought it was subtly sexy and appealing - especially to men. They also thought it was powerful due to the iconic pose. This tells me that I achieved my aim of the front cover. CONTENTS PAGE 8. What do you like about the contents page? 41% of the answers said that they liked the unusual images. 17% likes the interesting topics mentioned, another 17% said they liked the colour scheme and 17% said they liked the layout. The remainder of people (8%) said they liked the font used. This shows me that the contents page has features that make the page more appealing to readers. 9. What dont you like about the contents page? Any improvements? 100% of the participants said that they didnt think my contents page needed any improvements. This tells me that my contents page is pretty much perfect for the audience. DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD 10. What do you like about the double page spread?

Tamera Lall

The majority of people (50%) said they liked the font used on the double page spread. 17% said they liked the colour scheme and another 17% said they liked the layout of the page. 8% said they liked the images and another 8% said they liked the storyline and the actual article. These are the most effective features on the pages. 11. What dont you like about the double page spread? Any improvements? The main improvement was to use up some of the blank spaces on the left hand page as this was suggested by 70% of the people. 20% said the images could be improved and 10% said they felt like there was too much text and information on the page. These would have to be improved next time. 12. Do you think the magazine looks consistent and professional throughout? All of the people asked said they thought that my magazine looked professional throughout. This tells me that my magazine is almost as good as the ones sold in store and is a good magazine. Thank you for taking the time out to fill out this questionnaire.
