Lady Head Down Toward: Aunt Polly Decides Her Duty Critical Listening

The chapter begins by introducing Aunt Polly who is looking for her nephew Tom around the house but cannot find him. When she finally catches Tom hiding in a corner, she sees that he has sweets on his hands and face even though she has told him not to eat sweets many times before. When Aunt Polly raises her hand to hit Tom, he distracts her by pointing behind her and then escapes over the fence while she is turned around. Aunt Polly is surprised by Tom's actions but also laughs a little, realizing that she never knows what he will do next and that he uses tricks to avoid being hit by her.
