Charity sees the need not the cause


Sahyog "A Combined Effort" is organising a charity event in our college premises to provide various things (collected) to the people belong to the Slums and Orphan Homes.We request you all to contribute anything that you can (Ex. Clothes, Books, Toys, Stationary stuffs, Foot wears etc.).

If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? And if not now, when?

Give a bid, to help a kid Charity sees the need not the cause. Be charitable before wealth makes thee covetous. If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I? And if not now, when? The charity that is a trifle to us can be precious to others. A bone to the dog is not charity. Charity is the bone shared with the dog, when you are just as hungry as the dog. Down in their hearts, wise men know this truth: the only way to help yourself is to help others "Keep hope alive" "Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving. No one has ever become poor by giving. There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up. Charity . . . is the opium of the privileged. What I spent, I had; what I saved, I lost; what I gave, I have. True charity is the desire to be useful to others with no thought of recompense. In necessary things, unity; in doubtful things, liberty; in all things, charity. Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something. Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth. I wondered why somebody didn't do something. Then I realized, I am somebody. One must be poor to know the luxury of giving! Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity. It's not that successful people are givers; it is that givers are successful people. No joy can equal the joy of serving others. Life is never so busy that there is no time to serve. Donate, dont waste.. A tree doesnt eat its own fruits. A lake doesnt drink its own water. Those who are good accumulate wealth for the welfare of others.
