Binatone Modem Automatic Firmware Upgrade Tool Procedure

Below is the step-by-step procedure to upgrade the modem firmware. The tool approximately takes only 2 min to upgrade and hard reset the modem. Note: Software tool upgrade procedure for both DT815 and DT845W are same, but the Software tool versions will be different for different models. Example: DT4845W firmware tool will be something like DT845W_FW_Ver_007D_Upgrade_Tool_06202011. DT815 firmware tool will be something like DT845W_FW_Ver_007D_Upgrade_Tool_06202011 Note: Please select the appropriate tool to upgrade to their respective models. Step-1: Please Download the tool from the below link to the customer Laptop/PC. It can be saved on desktop or any other location. File will be compressed in a ZIP format. http://122.166.105.80/Firmwares/Binatone/ Note: Once you finish the upgrading process you have to delete the software from the customer PC. Step-2: Please extract the downloaded file to a folder as show in the below screen shot. a. Right click on the folder and select the option Extract All as shown in the Below screenshot.

b. After you click the option Extract All a window will pop up as show in the Below screenshot.

c. In the above window click the button Extract, after you click it will extract the files to a folder and then automatically opens the extracted folder as shown below.

Step-3 Once the extract process is done, go to the extracted folder and double the click application file DT845W_FW_VER_007D_Upgrade_Tool as show in the below screenshot.

Step-4: After you double click the application it will open a separate window as shown in the below screenshot. Note: If application is not opened automatically disappears not able to see the below window, Then may be any anti-virus software is protecting to execute this tool or you dont have the administrative rights to run this tool. For this you have to disable the Antivirus software. Once the window is opened you can make sure which firmware version you are going

To upgrade currently, by reading the first line which is highlighted in red in the below Screenshot.

Step-4: 4: After you getting the above window, before you proceed please make sure the below Points are satisfied. Ant firewall. 1. Disable Windows or Any Anti-Virus 2. Make sure Modem is connected through LAN to the PC/Laptop, dont try to upgrade through wireless. 3. Make sure there is no power disconnection to modem while upgrading this would cause ause damage to the modem. Once you are covered all the above points. points Please ease press Enter button to start the firmware upgrade process. process Once process is started dont power off the modem or disconnect it from the PC. Step-5: 5: Once the process started you can just watch whether the software is processing normally or not by seeing the messages printed on the window. Please refer the below screenshot where the firmware is upgraded successfully. Also few tips highlighted in red color. e message in the 7 step saying FW Upgrade Completed Successfully!!! Successfully Wait till you get the Once you see the above message it means that modem is upgraded to the respective and also factory default settings are restored. Hard reset is not necessary now.
