2 PT M Perspective

This document provides instructions for creating two point mechanical perspective drawings in 3 steps: 1. Draw the object's plan view and extend lines to vanishing points. 2. Transfer heights from the front view to the picture plane and take depth lines back to vanishing points. 3. Extend the plan view to intersect the picture plane and project front edges onto the picture plane, then draw remaining edges.

7. Take remaining converging depth lines back to VP1 & VP2

5. Take converging depth lines back to VP2 (&VP1) 4. Transfer TRUE HEIGHT of front view for edges intersecting PP

6. Take protruding edge BACK to PP for depth & corners behind PP FORWARD to PP (directed towards SP)

3. Extend plan to intersect the PP 7. Project front edge position onto PP (directed towards SP) Then remaining edges

5. Transfer TRUE HEIGHT of front view for extended edge touching PP 6. Take first converging depth lines back to VP1 & VP2
