Acuity Reports: Which one do I use when?

One of the powerful things about the Acuity system is the level of reports that can be generated to help schools, teachers, and students to target instruction and increase student learning. Below is a summary of some of the reports available in the Acuity system and when you might use each report.

Classroom Reports:
1. Assessment Reports: a. Class Assessment Reports: provide a snapshot of how your class performed on the test. i. The Tiers on this report correspond to mastery levels: 1=minimal mastery; 2=partial mastery; 3= sufficient mastery; 4=advanced mastery ii. Individual Teachers can see at a glance the areas they may want to focus on for the whole class, and also those areas that may need more differentiation. iii. By clicking on the percent scores, teachers can see exactly who scored at each proficiency level. This can be used for small group differentiated instruction.

2. Classroom Matrix Report: a. This is one of the most useful reports for classroom teachers. Click on Item Analysis Reports and then choose the Classroom Matrix Report to create a visual representation of proficiency on each item on the exam. You can see your entire class at a glance, quickly seeing objectives that the majority of the class answered correctly and those that they did not. It also shows you the most common incorrect answer. This report can be used with teams of teachers to determine areas of focus, commonalities, and differences. A very helpful report for working individually or in grade level teams. NOTE: This report should NOT be printed-use it on the computer only. If you must print, make sure you reduce the size to 60%. The printed report may be more than 60 pages long.
