Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated. If caught cheating, the instructor has the right to fail the student(s) involved from that assignment, quiz, or test, or from the course. All course postings and Discussion Board responses are expected to be at an appropriate level of professionalism; using any obscene, vulgar, racist or other inappropriate responses in your postings will have severe consequences.

Homework The homework assignments are completed in ConnectMath and can be done in a nonproctored setting for example, at home. Complete the homework (and quizzes) using a laptop or desktop computer, not a phone that has some Internet capabilities. Note the due date and time in ConnectMath for each assignment. **See the note below regarding Understanding Deadlines!!** Quizzes The quizzes are taken in ConnectMath and can be done in a non-proctored setting for example, at home. Note the due date and time for each quiz in ConnectMath. You will have 40 minutes to complete each quiz. No partial credit will be given for incorrect answers on quizzes. Each quiz can be attempted up to two times; the higher score will be the one that counts. Your two lowest quiz scores will be dropped at the end of the semester. **See the note below regarding Understanding Deadlines!!** Tests The Chapter Tests are paper-and-pencil tests and must be taken in a previously approved testing center. Each test can be attempted only once. You will find Testing Center Information included in this syllabus. Most testing centers are not open on Sunday, so plan accordingly. You must show a valid picture ID at the testing center. Give the staff member at the testing center the correct course (Math 0481) and my correct name (Sosnowski). You will have 75 minutes to complete each test. Show all work on the test. Partial credit may be given if you are well on your way to the correct answer. **See the note below regarding Understanding Deadlines!!** Projects There will be two projects assigned. The midterm project is an individual project and the final project is a group project. Note the due date and time for each project. More detailed information about projects will be found on blackboard in the Unit Information. **See the note below regarding Understanding Deadlines!!**

Discussions Board Discussions You will participate in several online discussions. You will respond to specific questions by posting to the Discussion Board, and giving feedback to your peers. More detailed information about discussions will be found on blackboard in the Unit Information. **See the note below regarding Understanding Deadlines!!** Final Exam The final exam will cover the entire course. It is a paper-and-pencil test that must be taken in a previously approved testing center. You must show a valid picture ID at the testing center. You will have 1 hour and 50 minutes to complete the Final Exam. The final exam must be taken between December 4 and December 10, unless arrangements are made with me to take it early. The last day to take the Final Exam for this course is December 10. **See the note below regarding Understanding Deadlines!!** Understanding Deadlines It is your responsibility to complete all homework, discussions, quizzes, tests, projects, and final exam by the deadlines indicated. Get started right away, and do not put things off. To be safe, stay a few days, a week, or more ahead of deadlines. That way, should an emergency arise, you wont have to worry about scrambling to get your course work completed on time. Course work will be ACCEPTED BEFORE the deadlines but NOT AFTER! Grading/Evaluation Pass/Fail is not an option for this class since a student needs a grade of C or better in order to proceed to the next course. Incomplete grades will not be given for this course.
