Numerology Number Calculations

Calculating numerology numbers from birth dates and names involves reducing numbers to single digits at each step. For birth dates, the day, month and year numbers are each reduced, then added together and reduced again, except for master numbers 11 and 22. For names, letters are replaced with numbers, those numbers are added per name part and reduced, then the name parts are added and reduced again to get the final numerology number. An example calculates the life path number 22 from a birth date of 29 August 1965 by reducing each part to a single digit before adding.

Numerology Number Calculations

Calculating your own numerology numbers or those of others is very easy and doesn't take much time. All you need to calculate your core numerology numbers, cycles and secondary numbers is your birth date and your full name as stated on your birth certificate. There are just a few simple rules to respect: All numbers are reduced to single digit numbers. The only exception of this rule are the master numbers 11 and 22, which are not reduced in most cases. Calculating numerology numbers from your birth date: As an example, lets look at the life path number, which is calculated from your birth date:

First, reduce the day-, month- and year of your birth into a single digit (don't reduce the master numbers 11 and 22). Then you add these three single digits (or master numbers) and reduce the result again into a single digit number (except for the master numbers 11 and 22).

With most numerology numbers, master numbers are not reduced. There are only a few exceptions (like the challenge numbers, karmic lessons, passion numbers and some others), where this rule doesn't apply. Lets calculate the life path number from the following birth date: 29 August 1965 29 = 2 + 9 = 11 - this is no further reduced, because 11 is a master number. August = 8 1963 = 1 + 9 + 6 + 5 = 21 = 2 + 1 = 3 Finally, we add the three numbers: 11 + 8 + 3 = 22 - this is a master number and is no further reduced. It's important, that you first reduce your birth day, your birth month, your birth year, then you add these three numbers and reduce it again to a single digit number (except as in our example, if it's a master number). If you immediately add all three numbers without reducing them first, you get a different result: 29 + 8 + 1965 = 2002 = 2 + 2 = 4

This way you don't get the master number 22. Calculating numerology numbers from your name: This works similar as in the example above, but first you have to translate the letters in your name into their corresponding numbers. Therefore, you use the following table:

A=1 J=1 S=1

B=2 K=2 T=2

C=3 L=3 U=3

D=4 M=4 V=4

E=5 N=5 W=5

F=6 O=6 X=6

G=7 P=7 Y=7

H=8 Q=8 Z=8

I=9 R=9

Write down your name, exactly as mentioned on your birth certificate - first name, last name and middle names if there are any. Then you put the corresponding number under each letter. For example, to calculate your expression number, you would add all the corresponding numbers of your first name and reduce the result into a single digit number (except for the master numbers 11 and 22). You do the same with your last name and your middle names and finally you add all the single digits (or master numbers) and reduce the result again to a single digit - exactly as explained in the example above. As an example, lets calculate the expression number for someone with the name Mark Webster: The corresponding numbers for Mark are: 4 + 1 + 9 + 2 = 16 = 1 + 6 = 7 The corresponding numbers for Webster are: 5 + 5 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 5 + 9 = 29 = 2 + 9 = 11 The expression number is: 7 + 11 = 18 = 1 + 8 = 9 And that's really all, it doesn't get any more complicated. That way you can calculate a complete numerology chart with all core numbers, cycles and secondary numbers.
