HOT PEAS N BUTTER TO SIZZLE ON EMFkids! CONCERT STAGE

Greensboro, NC The edible, educational and energetic childrens musical group, Hot Peas N Butter, will kick off the EMFkids! program at Greensboro Day School (5401 Lawndale Drive, Greensboro, NC 27455) on Saturday, June 28, 2008, at 11 am. Tickets may be purchased for $6 for children and $10 for adults at 866.579.TIXX, from the Box Office at Triad Stage or online at www.easternmusicfestival.org. This New York City-based group offers an eclectic mix of both original and folk tunes, integrating multilingual and multicultural lyrics and beats to create a compilation of songs that will have parents and children alike on their feet. Founded in 2000 by professional musicians and former classmates, Danny Lapidus and Francisco Cotto, this pair of peas strives to produce professional quality music through a caring performance. A rapidly growing audience and recent appearances of music videos Number One and Deep Down on Noggins Jacks Big Music Show and Nickelodeons Move to the Music attest that not only the Peas are Hot when it comes to Hot Peas N Butter. The Festival also produces a popular fringe series of alternative programming, featuring everything from Americana to alt country, blues, jazz and gospel.
