EP1 Sunny Week 4

This weekly outline covers the period from 10/6/13 to 14/6/13. The activity session will focus on farm animals with vocabulary words for different animals and sentence structures about animals. Songs, masks, and games about animals will be included. Phonics lessons will introduce the letters J, Z, W, V, Y, and X. A review of body parts, colors, and fruits from prior weeks will incorporate songs and TPR activities. Activity session subject : Animals part 1 Vocabulary: Cow, horse, sheep, goat, hen, chicken, pig, duck, goose, rabbit, cat, dog, fish, bird Sentence structure/s: What is it? What sound does it make? What animal do you like? I like.. Activities / songs / games: Songs: Old MacDonald White little duck Activities: Animal mask Toilet roll/paper plate animal Games: Fishing Fly swat game Guess who (using animal sounds)

Phonics
This week we are moving other Jolly Phonics letter which include jjj, zzz, www, vvv, yyy , xxx the fourth set of Jolly Phonics letters usually include ai, j, oa, ie, ee, or but we will come to do these sounds when the students are confident in single sounding letters first and then we will move onto vowel sounds.

Review
This week we will continue to review what we have learnt in the last 3 weeks including the body, colours and fruit we will do this by going over the songs we have learnt which include head, shoulders, knees and toes, sing a rainbow and lets go to the market. We will also review these past vocabularies through TPR (total physical response) activities including touch your head and simon says. Reviewing colours will be done through fishing and race to touch games. Fruits can also be done in the same method as colours.
