MEDIUM Major Injury (electrocution) LOW NEW CONTROLS REQUIRED: All extension leads, connections and equipment to be to an approved standard. All electrical equipment to be inspected by a competent person in accordance with the electrical testing schedule. A residual current device will be used. Safety footwear to an appropriate standard with non-slip soles will be worn. No grass cutting allowed in rain and other adverse weather conditions. Operator trained to: - isolate mower at supply point before cleaning; - safe routing and handling of cable when in use; - check lawn for debris before cutting. Train operator how to check RCD before each use. Any defects or incidents to be reported as soon as possible and investigated. Risk assessment to be reviewed annually or after an incident.
