Territory: Art I National Territory

The national territory of the Philippines comprises the Philippine archipelago and all islands, waters, and territories over which the Philippines has sovereignty. This includes territorial seas, seabeds, and submarine areas. Waters around, between, and connecting islands in the archipelago are considered internal waters regardless of size. Republic Act 3046 defines the baselines of the territorial sea. It establishes straight lines joining the outermost points of islands as the baselines from which the territorial sea is measured and declares all waters within these lines to be inland waters.
