Our Song

The speaker was riding in the front seat of her boyfriend's car with her hair undone. She looks over and notices he has one hand on the steering wheel and the other on her heart. When she turns down the radio and asks if something is wrong, he asks what's on her mind. She tells him she was just thinking that they don't have a song. He then lists things that remind him of their relationship that could be considered their song, like the slamming screen door when she sneaks out late at night. The chorus is repeated with more details of their relationship.
