Now, I want to share you DEM Surface Tools for ArcGIS 10.

This tool is an ArcGIS extension made by Jennes Enterprises that have utility to analyze raster elevation datasets using both projected and unprojected digital elevation model (DEM) rasters to produce adiversity of earth surface characteristics.

DEM Surface Tools for ArcGIS 10 offers us with tools to produce surface area and ratio of a landscape, create Slope & Aspect with 3 slope algorithm options, Hillshade, with optional hypsometric tinting Multi-directional Oblique-Weighted Hillshade, with optional hypsometric tinting and Seven types of Landscape Curvature.

DEM Surface Tools extension uses only standard ArcGIS ArcObjects functions and so doesn't need a license for either Spatial Analyst or 3D Analyst.
