About CETK
CETK is a common entrance test for those students, aspiring for admission to first year in professional degree courses in the State of Karnataka. The exam is held every year under the guidance of KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority).
Eligibility
Candidates must appear for objective type tests in Physics, Chemistry & Biology subjects in case of Medical courses. For admission into Engineering courses through CET, candidates must appear for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics subjects. For admission to Architecture course the candidate must appear for NATA.
Syllabus
The syllabus for CETK exam will be purely based on Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths of 10+2 level. CET Syllabus is completely based on the I and II PUC syllabi, which has been prescribed by the Department of PreUniversity Education of the state of Karnataka.
Exam Pattern
CET Karnataka entrance test comprises of two papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II. For paper I, there will be 120 questions, each carrying 1 marks that means total marks assigned to the paper will be 120. The total time limit for this paper will be 150 mins i.e. 2 hrs. Paper II will have 60 multiple choice questions.
Exam Pattern
The questions will be based on either Biology or Mathematics depending on the course that candidate has preferred. Paper II will be of 80 mins. The Kannada language test is conducted in the CET Bangalore premises. This test is conducted for only those candidates, who claim government seats and whose mother tongue is Kannada.
Preparation
The first step for preparation of CETK exam begins with planning tactics by allotting equal time to every subject. Try to make a specific goal of finishing topic every day. Dont land yourself in any kind of illusion by having lots of study on a single day. Try to revise as much as you can.
