2,2'-Azino-Bis (3-Ethylbenzthiazoline-6-Sulfonic Acid) Liquid Substrate System For Elisa

1) The document describes a liquid substrate system called 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) that is used for ELISA assays and develops a blue-green color when reacted with peroxidase. 2) The substrate is supplied ready-to-use at a working dilution and should be brought to room temperature before use, where it will produce a soluble blue-green reaction product when reacted with peroxidase that can be read at 405nm. 3) For endpoint assays, the reaction can be stopped by adding an equal volume of 1% SDS, which will also result in a blue-green end product that can be read at 405

2,2'-AZINO-BIS(3-ETHYLBENZTHIAZOLINE-6SULFONIC ACID) LIQUID SUBSTRATE SYSTEM FOR ELISA Product Number A 3219 Storage Temperature 2-8 C

Product Description The product is supplied as a ready-to-use peroxidase substrate containing 2,2-azino-bis (3-ethylbenz-thiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) in an acidic buffer. The substrate should be colorless prior to reaction with peroxidase. It will develop a blue-green reaction product when reacted with peroxidase in microwell applications (e.g. ELISA assays). For end-point assays, 1% sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) may be used to stop the reaction. This will also result in a blue-green end product. Since this substrate produces a soluble reaction product, it is not recommended for blotting or histochemical applications. Precautions and Disclaimer This product does not contain the hazardous compounds usually present in this type of product. This reduces the environmental concerns associated with shipping and handling of the material. Consult the MSDS for additional information.

Storage/Stability Store at 2-8 C. Procedure This product is a ready-t o-use, one component substrate for peroxidase and is supplied at the working dilution. It should be brought to room temperature (approx. 25 C) before use. Following reaction with peroxidase, a blue-green reaction product forms that can be read at 405 nm. For end-point assays, the reaction should be stopped by adding a volume of 1% SDS equal to that of the substrate in the well. The stopped reaction can also be read at 405 nm. Dilution of the substrate is not recommended. To reduce the intensity of a reaction, it is recommended that the antibodies or conjugates be diluted.
