Homework
Please staple all homework together when completed. I will collect all homework on Friday. All homework is due each Friday Remember to log minutes read on reading log each day. Monday: Spelling contract activities Tuesday: Reading activity sheet Wednesday: Math activity sheet Thursday: Spelling contract activities Friday: All homework is due today. *Spelling Test on Friday

* Reading each night is part of your childs daily reading homework. Please remember to fill out your childrens reading log and return it to school each day. When you fill out their log, ask them to retell the main events from the book they just read to you. * This week your child is researching about the description, habitat, diet, and interesting facts about a specific type of penguin. Ask your child to teach you some interesting facts about penguins.

What are we learning?

Reading: I can describe the difference between a fact and opinion in a story. Story of the Week: The Quilt Story Language Arts: I can spell words ending in -le. I can use adjectives to describe a noun. I can research information about a topic. Math: I can relate patterns in skip counting to multiplication. I can multiply by 2s, 5s, and 10s. Social Studies: I can construct maps with a title, a key, & a compass rose. Science: I can research information about penguins.
