Machakos University College wishes to recruit suitable persons to work in the Security Department in the following positions: Security Officer Security supervisors Security investigators.

The requirements for above positions are as follows: SECURITY OFFICER-Grade C/D Must have at least C-(minus) in KCSE or above Must have undergone security training in Kenya Government institution or in a reputable security company Must have certificate of discharge Must have attained the rank of a sergeant / senior sergeant/lieutenant/inspector in military, police, NYS, KWS or equivalent position in a private security company; Must have worked in an equivalent position for at least 3 years; Must have a clean record with a current certificate of good conduct; Must demonstrated leadership ability in previous assignments and ability to work with minimum supervision; Must be able to communicate very well in writing and verbally in both English and Kiswahili; Ability to manage and lead small teams of junior security officers important.

SECURITY SUPERVISOR: Grade A/B Must have at least D+ in KCSE or above; Must have undergone security training in a government institution or in a reputable security company of not less than 3 months; Must have work experience of at least 4 years; experience in work place investigations is an added advantage Must have a clean record with current certificate of good conduct; Must be able to communicate well in both English and Kiswahili; Must demonstrate ability to supervise and lead small security units for achievement of set targets/objectives; Must demonstrate ability to work with minimum supervision.

SECURITY GUARDS: Grade III/IV Must have at least D plain in KCSE; those who can show secondary school study and have proven work experience will also be considered Must have undergone security training in police, NYS, KWS, or equivalent or in reputable security company of at least three months or more; Must have a clean record with current certificate of good conduct; Must have worked in a similar position for at least one year; Preferably should be not more than 45 years of age;
