Yangdong Village[UNESCO World Heritage] : Yangdong Village is


Koreas largest traditional village, showcasing the traditional culture of the Joseon Dynasty and the beautiful natural surroundings. Thanks to its many cultural heritages, including national treasures and folklore materials, the entire village has been designated as a cultural heritage site. Many people have visited this village to see its wealth of cultural heritages and scenic surroundings. Charles, Prince of Wales, visited this village in 1993.

Anapji Pond: During the 14th year of King Munmus reign (AD
661~681) in the Silla period, a large pond was dug and small mountains were built all within the palace walls. Additionally, beautiful flowers were planted and rare animals were brought in to create an exquisite garden environment. In 1974, an excavation revealed large spherical shapes indicating that 3 islands were located in the pond.

Bulguksa Temple [UNESCO World Heritage] : Construction of


Bulguksa was started under the supervision of Prime Minister Gim Dae-seong in 751 in the reign King Gyeongdeok of the Unified Silla Kingdom. Buddhist monks and architects devoted all their energies and ingenuity to the construction of this temple that would embody the bliss of Buddha within the mundane world.

Seokguram Grotto [UNESCO World Heritage]: Seokguram Grotto


is tucked away near the summit of Mt. Tohamsan on its secluded eastern slope. This man-made grotto was assembled from hundreds of white granite pieces of diverse sizes and shapes. It consists of a rectangular antechamber symbolizing the earth, a corridor acting as a conduit between earth and heaven, and a main rotunda with a domed ceiling representing heaven.
