AIM: To obtain model OPERATIONS: filing, marking, punching, cutting, finishing. PROCEDURE: STEP 1: Fix the given work piece to the bench vice and file the adjacent edges using a flat file and check their perpendicularity using tri-square for both parts A & B. STEP 2: Apply a thin layer of wet chalk an the surfaces to be marked and allow it to dry. STEP 3: Mark the layout of given shape and dimensions on the work piece with the help of surface plate, angle plate and Vernier height gauge. STEP 4: With the help of the centre punch, mark the dots on the boundary line of the work piece. STEP 5: By having some allowance for cutting on the work piece, leave same space along the punched line. Mark it with a pencil for reference. STEP 6: With the help of an hacksaw, remove the unwanted material from both the work piece. STEP 7: With the help of suitable file(s) the filing is made onto the punch mark.
