Welding machine equipment daily inspection eg correct size of fuses, proper earthing cable, holder etc housekeeping Proper PPE Proper PPE Inspect the area before commencing welding, all flammable material removed from welding area, proper fueling procedure.Fire extinguisher, housekeeping. Adequate maintenance. Foreman must check machine periodically. Daily inspection by welder/ foreman, found any defect stop welding activities and report to maintenance dept foreman, fire extinguishers. Proper PPE, toolbox, inspect cable and holder, joints before commencing work. Defective cable be changed or insulated by electrician. Firm earthing provided. Before handling electrode gloves must worn. Pull tin cover strip carefully. While taking electrode from oven use hand gloves. Ensure that the hand is not wet and ensure the oven door is closed. Display oven operators name. PPE. Toolbox talk
