Two of the band members are holding guitars, this immediately indicates that they have a musical talent also, it relates to the point of the biggest guitar band to 2011. The four musicians are not posing for the camera, this designates that they dont feel the need to pose to show their passion, dedication and talent.
Heading: it stands out as it is black, bold and in capital letters. This evokes that the magazine want to publicise the band as it is current and good. Graphics: the colour scheme is basic. The use of gritty sepia tone, provides a vintage touch which is similar to the Vaccines and their sound. Moreover, there are big splashes of blue, suggesting a more modern feel to the vintage look a contrast. This suggests The Vaccines have something new to offer compared to older bands. Furthermore, it is also shown like this to make it look like that some parts have been stuck on, as if the band are messy because they only care about the simplicity of their music.
Composition: the band member at the front, has positioned himself in front of the other members this suggest that he is the leader of the band. Also, his red guitar connotes passion which suggest that he is very passionate about his music and that the guitar is his role in the band.

Article: the information n the article consists of an interview with each member of the band, this gives the reader an exclusive chance to see what its like behind the scenes.
Target Audience: the target audience would most likely be males, hence all the band members are males and the target audience would look up to them as role models or icons. Also, the colour scheme is masculine blue, grey and black. It is a typical stereotype for all boys to like the colour blue.
This magazines double page spread is presented like a newspaper through the use of colours and layout. This gives the magazine an original sentiment. The majority of the spread is black and white which is basic yet straightforward. Also, it conveys the seriousness of the articles. However, two aspects of writing are red, emphasising that particular headline. It makes the spread look more interesting and eye catching. Red connotes danger, passion and love perhaps the message/purpose of the magazine.
Subtitles: the three out of four subtitles suggests that these issues are not common with celebrities being hermaphroditic, cross dressing and bisexuality due to the fact that these are what the articles are based upon to cause a reaction out of readers and to gain readership. Main image: The main image is of Lady GaGa who looks strong, slightly bizarre and wealthy. This represents her character, her image. It is a mid shot as you can see her waist, hands and head. It would be the first matter the reader would see when looking at the page. You can see her bodyguard in the image, this envails her high status and how important she is.
The Main Title: the font is black, simple and in capitals. It really stands out from the page due to how large it is. The alliteration of the letter T highlights the word TRUTH this would make the readers question what they already dont know about Lady Gaga. Publisher logo: this identifies the reader what company the magazine is from, from a visually symbolic way. It distinguishes magazines from other magazines. In this logo, it has white font in capitals that stands out from the red background. With the help of the prominent colour it would be the second matter the reader would see on the spread. Smaller image: This image is of Lady GaGa wearing less makeup, it is a close up shot - you can see that she is expressionless. In this image, she looks slightly masculine the image backs up the title SHES A HERMAPHRODITE! as evidence. Reference: the reference to Lady GaGa and Christian Aguilera would contribute a wider range audience it brings two fandoms to readership, hence they would want to know what their icons are up to.
Layout: the main image is on the left hand side of the A3 page whilst consumers are reading the article they will constantly be reminded of who the article is about. There are no other images on the double page spread this draws all the attention on the image of Taylor Momsen, the subject. There are only two columns with a large masthead which provides the impression that the image is what is selling this article and the masthead is summarising everything you need to know. The house colours are red, black and white. The main colour is black concealing that darkness is what mostly consumes the article. Red designates that there is anger but passion in Taylor Momsen. All three of the house colours compliment each other because they cancel out and make each other neutral.
Tone and register: the tone and register is from an actual teenagers perspective , using the artists speech allows the audience to relate to Taylor - creating a connection. The artist is saying normal matters that any teenager would experience making the article more understandable.
Headline: Wild Child the title fits well with the image of Taylor, hence the appearance of the artist doesnt seem to bother her. The title is suggesting to the audience that Taylor herself is telling the article with a dark and meaningful truth. The word wild is in red which connotes danger, blood and passion everything the article is representing. However, the colour of child contradicts the red, hence white connotes purity, innocence and goodness presenting Taylors two sides of good and bad personality. To back this point, the word wild illuminates her bad behaviour but the word child reminds us of how young she is and innocent. The kicker is placed directly below the headline, having certain words coloured differently to attract the attention from the audience.
Full-Bleed Image: Taylor Momsen is represented as a bad girl which explains the bleached blonde hair and the black clothes. Black connotes death, evil and despair her image. The overdone dark makeup Taylor is wearing completes the bad girl image, hence a lot of teenaged girls dont wear a lot of dark make-up. Its a sultry representation, highlighting her rebellious side. However, it is ironic that her hair is half covering her face this suggests that she is shy and self-conscious. This tell us that there is more than meets the eye this gives the impression that the article contributes exclusive information about the artist. Having Taylor Momsen run her hand through her hair and having her mouth partly open is portrayed as quite seductive and promiscuous.
