Earmark Request

Peter DeFazio, a member of Congress, wrote a letter to the chairman and ranking member of the Committee on Appropriations requesting funding for an Offender Treatment and Transition Program in fiscal year 2010. The $250,000 in requested funding would go to Lane County Administration to develop an in-custody, evidence-based treatment program for up to 36 local adult offenders serving felony and misdemeanor sentences. DeFazio certified that he and his spouse have no financial interest in the project.
