Metaphor Homework

The document provides homework instructions to choose a metaphor, draw its literal meaning, and write what the metaphor means. As an example, it suggests using the metaphor "The boxer had an iron fist" and drawing a metal fist ready to punch, with the meaning being his fist is very hard and would hurt if it hit you.

Homework

1. Choose or create a metaphor and draw its literal meaning (the meaning
if you just look at what the words say).
2. Then, write what it means underneath. For example, if you wanted to
use ‘The boxer had an iron fist’ you would draw a metal fist about to
punch someone. The meaning would be ‘his fist is very hard and would
hurt a lot if it hit you’.

Metaphors
The metaphor I have chosen is: The boxer had an iron fist.

(You would draw a picture of a

metal fist in this box)

It means: his fist is very hard and would hurt a lot if it hit you.
