ARBITRATOR Edited by Sree

An arbitrator is a person chosen to settle disputes between parties engaged in a conflict. They have the power to make authoritative decisions as an arbiter. If the claimant wants a sole arbitrator, they must write to the other party seeking agreement before the deadline. If agreed, the association will appoint the arbitrator upon receiving submissions. Arbitrators have duties to conduct fair and impartial hearings, avoid delays, maintain order, consider evidence deemed necessary, and regulate the hearing process and conduct of participants. The board assigns arbitrators without party approval. Arbitrators must not have personal interest or acquaintance with participants except through the hearing process, and hold no prejudices toward any party.
