CREATING SIMPLE AMNESIA

In a moment I will have you count from one to ten and you will find that the number between and is gone . . . It is not there . . . It no longer exists . . . It does not exist . . . Now you will follow all of my suggestions to the letter even though you will not remember me giving these suggestions . . . So now I will count from three to one and you will open your eyes and follow all of my suggestions . . . Three . . . Two . . . One, eyes open . . .

As soon as your client opens his eyes, say: Do me a favor please, count from one to ten quickly.

Your client should count aloud omitting the number that you designated without being aware of it, and as soon as he does, say: Fine, close your eyes and let your body relax
