I. DEFINITION
Foundation Plan is the top view of the structure. It contains the footings or foundation walls, area, and their distances. It is the horizontal section which shows the beams, girders, columns and openings. The foundation plan is used primarily by the building crew who will construct the foundation of the proposed structure.

I. Types of foundation
A concrete slab foundation and a foundation made from piers and column. raised

Footing - The supporting base or groundwork of a structure, as for a monument or wall Girder - A large iron or steel beam or compound structure used for building bridges and the framework of large buildings Piers - A platform supported on pillars or girders Columns - A supporting pillar consisting of a base, a cylindrical shaft, and a capital. Foundation wall - The masonry or concrete walls below ground level that serve as the main support for a structure.

Interior Foundation Wall define spaces, airflow, natural lighting. It is where wires, pipes and ducts are laid-out.
Exterior foundation - define the shape of a house, they also support the floors, walls, and roof. Their role in separating the houses interior from the outdoors, and to do this effectively they have to block the weather with systems that insulate, shed water, and repel moisture and air infiltration.
