Great White Shark

The Predator of the Sea

The name of my animal is Great White Shark The scientific name is carchardon The shark is in the fish family

Gray and white About 2 tons About 17 feet in long It has no hair The nose has scraps on it Its ears are practically on its tongue

The lifespan of a great white shark is about 25 years No the shark is not endangered The oldest shark in the world is about 30 years old It has babies when its 20

The great white shark lives along every single continent except for Antarctica Mostly cold waters the arctic waters are too cold for them they would die in the freezing cold conditions

when it snows the shark goes under the ice to keep warm when it rains the shark does its usual thing the temperatures are different in each continent because they live every were they like warm waters so they love the tropical places

Prey and Predator


The only predator to a shark is a human Their prey is mostly seals if people keep catching them there might not be any sharks in the future

Great white sharks behavior is they go up to their prey and startle them and then attack. It does this to eat. They also behave by first bringing their prey to where they live and then attacking.

1. The great white shark usually has up to 5 babies 2. Only two survives because the mom has nothing else to eat 3. It has babies at the age of 20, but dies at the age of 25 4. The baby leaves at the age of two days old

Physical Adaptations
the great white shark adapts to its environment by camouflage they have blue backs because if your looking down at the water you see blue they have white bottoms because if your looking up from the bottom of the ocean it looks white

Behavioral
sharks usually sneak up to their prey and attack when they see prey they swim away but slow down when prey is out of sight they open there eyes wider when there is more than 1 predator they try to cut there predator first

there are more then 350 kinds of shark sharks live along every continent escaped for Antarctica ocean some sharks are born from eggs and some from there mother scientists do not know how sharks mate some sharks live in lakes and rivers they used shark teeth for knifes long ago
