Pre Start Up Start up Shut Down Emergency Procedures

Location bay 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Move Engine to Engine Start Bay Secure all 4 Tie Downs located at Engine Stand Caster Wheels to be locked and Secured Earth Engine with Ground Wire Check for FOD around Engine Stand The person operating the Engine has to wear protective Goggles and Ear Muffs Position Fire Extinguisher At Strategic Location and Nominate A Person to Be in Charge of the Extinguisher prior to Engine Start

Pre Engine Start 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Check engine oil level All switches at OFF position on Instrument Control Panel Test throttle operation Full and Free Ensure 0% can be selected at throttle OFF position (Full AFT) Check Fuel and Drain Fuel Catch Sump Drain Oil Vent Sump Batteries fully charged at minimum 12V Intake area clear of any debris

Starting 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Complete Pre-Start Checklist Master switch; ON Move throttle to position (marked) Move Mixture Control to Full Open / Full IN Engine Operator to Shout Clear Prop before start Turn Ignition key to ON, Then release when engine catches Set Throttle to idle at 1200 rpm Check Oil Pressure Rising (approx 20 psi) and other indicators for Normal Range. If Oil Pressure doesnt rise then Shut Down Engine 9. Move throttle slowly forward to increase RPM, do not exceed 50% Shut Down 1. Pull throttle back to idle setting for the duration of 1 min 2. Power throttle to full AFT CUTOFF/ CLOSE position 3. Mixture Control to Off 4. Check for all Masters to be Switch OFF 5. Switch Ignition OFF and remove the key 6. Relocate Engine Stand to Storage Area. Do Not Touch the Engine Block or the Propeller when moving the Engine Stand 7. Perform necessary visual inspections

Emergency Procedures During Engine Operations

1. Please Ensure that Engine Oil Pressure Rises as soon as the Engine Catches. If the pressure doesnt rise, please shut the engine off IMMEDIATELY and contact the maintenance team 2. If in any case, if there is an unusual smoke or fire, please proceed to Cut Off Fuel Intake to the Engine. Emergency Fuel Cut Off located below Fuel Tank and Extinguish the FIRE Immediately with the FIRE Extinguisher Provided
