THE SYSTEM UNIT
 Isa case that contains electronics
components of the computer used to
process data.
 Available in many shape and size.
 Chassis is the case of the system unit, is
made from metal or plastic and protect
the internal electronic component from
damage.

The keyboard and the pointing device are on the
top of the system unit.

The motherboard
 Or known as system board, is the main
circuit board of system unit.
 Many electronic components attached to
the motherboard.
PROCESSOR
 Central Processing Unit ( CPU )
 Interprets and carries out the basic instruction
that operate a computer.
 Significantly impacts overall computing power
and manages most of a computer operation.
 Mainframes and supercomputers, the various
function is performed by the processor that
extend over many separate chips and often
multiple circuit board.
 Personal computer all function of the processor
are on single chip.
TYPES OF PROCESSOR
 Multi-core processor
A single chips with two or more separate
processor.
 Dual-core processor
A chip that contains two separate processor
 Quad-core processor
A chip that with four separate processor
THE CONTROL UNIT
 Is the component of the processor that
directs and coordinates most of the
operation in the computing.
 it interprets each instruction issued by a
program and then initiates the
appropriates action to carry out the
instruction.
