Oracle eAM de Activate Asset Number

To deactivate an asset number in the system, the user must first end date any parent-child relationships by accessing the configuration history and applying end dates. They then search for the asset number, go to tools, and click deactivate to confirm removal of the asset number from the system. This process ensures all relations are ended before fully removing the asset number.

Training Manual Deactivate Asset Number To deactivate an Asset Number/ Asset Route all Parent-Child relations are needed

to be end dated. User can follow below steps to deactivate an asset number: 1. Go to Maintenance Super User> Assets> Capital

2. Enter the search criteria and search for asset number needed to be deactivated. If Asset Route is to be searched User will select "Asset Route- Yes" in search criteria:

3. Select "Configuration History" option in View Tab and Click Go:

4. Select "Show- Parents" and click Go. If Asset has any Parent it will be displayed below. Click update:

5. Click on Update and below Page will appear. User will give end date and apply. This will end date Parent Child relationship asset number had.

Note: Same would be done in case if asset number has any child assets related to it. User will use Show- Child to search for Asset Number children and end date related child asset numbers: 6. Once Parent- Child relationship is end dated user will go to Enterprise Asset Management Responsibility> Asset Numbers and search for Asset Number to be De-activated:

7. Go to Tools and click De-Activate Asset Number:

8. System will ask for confirmation. Click "Ok" to de-activate asset number:
