The Sea by Natividad Marquez

The poem describes a child asking their mother why the sea laughs, sobs, and seems peaceful. The mother responds that the sea laughs as it thinks of joy, sobs as it remembers the world's sorrows, and seems peaceful as it offers comfort to tired hearts.
