For instance: My majoring in kinesiology/exercise science demonstrates my interest in taking on a challenge. Even in the face of adversity I am extremely willing to work hard. My persistence attitude towards bettering my education helps me pick up new trades/skills easily. Throughout my employment, I acquired skills to accommodate even the most difficult customers. Working at the customer service desk at Lowes Home Improvement store helped me develop better verbal communication. On occasions I worked as greeter, making sure every customer felt welcome as I directed them to their department of choice. I also gained a basic knowledge of paint from working in the paint department. While competing athletically, I worked as a team member focusing on the greater good of my team rather than myself. In my later years of Track & Field, I took on more leadership roles in which I developed time management skills and was usually the last one to leave the track. Its from my work in ROTC that Ive learn the seven core valves of our US Army, Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. I incorporate these seven values into my daily life, making me a better member of society.
